A young man named Md. Palash Mia (28) died after being electrocuted in Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj. The accident occurred in Lalchan village of the upazila on Sunday morning. Palash is the son of Abdul Khalek of that village.
According to local sources, Palash was delivering water with a motor in the morning. At that time, he suddenly came in contact with an exposed electric wire and was electrocuted. He was seriously injured and the locals rescued him and took him to Habiganj 250-bed Modern Sadar Hospital. The hospital’s doctor Bibhabari said that Palash died before reaching the hospital.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chunarughat police station Nur Alam said that police were sent to the spot after receiving the information. The matter will be investigated and necessary action will be taken.
